Members Stories – Lisa Giarraffa Coning

I started at the Sweat Factory in January 2017. I was very active in my teens and early 20s, but then got married and had babies, all the sudden I was 38 and was the heaviest I had ever been. I decided I was not happy living that way, I needed to lose weight and get in shape.

I set a goal that I wanted to lose 50lbs by my 40th birthday. It took me a little over a year to hit my original goal weight but I kept losing and by my 40th birthday I lost a total of 65lbs. I was so proud of what I was able to accomplish!

It felt amazing to hit my goal but it became so much more than just losing weight, I’m also stronger than I have ever been, have more energy, and generally just feel better every day!

I have been able to sustain because I was given the tools when I started to know what my body needs as far as exercise and nutrition. If I feel my clothes getting a little snug I know I need to focus more on my nutrition. Since I was taught the right foods and portions during my 6 Week Challenge program it is easy for me to get back on track. Also having the amazing support system of coaches and members at Sweat Factory motivates me to get up and get to the gym every day.

I have made life long friends and health habits since joining Sweat Factory, it has truly been one of the best decisions I have made for myself!
